MARTY BALIN (Jefferson Airplane/Starship)
NJPAC March 14, 2014 8:00 PM

A benefit concert featuring Lou Gramm, the voice of Foreigner along with special guest Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane/Starship will play in the intimate setting of Victoria Theatre at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Friday, March 14, 2014. This is a wellness benefit for famed musician Slick Aguilar, lead guitarist for Jefferson Starship.

Aguilar has been gracing fans with the gift of his guitar playing for over 40 years and continued to do so until he fell seriously ill with Hepatitis C requiring a liver transplant.  This debilitating disease affected his ability to perform contributing to insurmountable medical bills and living expenses for his family.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

For 20 years from 1992 to 2012, Mark “Slick” Aguilar was Jefferson Starship’s lead guitarist, when in 2012 Slick had to depart the band when he fell ill with Hepatitis C.

On March 14 2014 at 8pm, the NJPAC Victoria Theater will host a Wellness Benefit Concert for Slick Aguilar.

More on the concert in an upcoming post. But here is a song that Slick would like people to hear, a song that he likes a lot. The song is While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Slick at lead guitar with Jefferson Starship performing at The House of Blues in Chicago on February 21 2006.
